Dr. Sonia Cohen is a Surgical Oncologist caring for patients with Sarcoma and Melanoma at the Massachusetts General Hospital. She received her undergraduate degree from The Johns Hopkins University, her PhD in Genetics from Harvard University, and her medical degree from the Health Science and Technology Program at Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Cohen then completed her surgical training at the Massachusetts General Hospital and clinical fellowship in Complex General Surgical Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Cohen’s research is focused on understanding how changes in the structure and regulation of the genome give rise to cancer, with a particular focus on developing prognostic tools and novel therapeutics for Soft Tissue Sarcomas and Melanoma.
