I am an Associate Professor of Surgery at Stony Brook University Hospital (Stony Brook, NY) with a clinical focus on the complex management of patients with gastrointestinal cancers and peritoneal surface malignancies. I aim to pursue more effective as well as less invasive surgical treatments when appropriate through innovation and research in order to achieve the goals of cancer disease control and potential cure.
Additionally, I have academic interest and focus on surgical education currently serving as the Program Director for the Stony Brook University General Surgery Residency program. In surgical education, I strive and aim to enhance the surgical education of our future surgeons and physicians in order to impact the patients we care for in the future. I am privileged to serve as the current Chair for the Advanced Cancer Therapies committee of the Society of Surgical Oncology and privileged to work with an outstanding group of individuals (Physicians and SSO staff) on the ACT committee in organizing the 2024 ACT meeting.
