Dr. Shaina Sedighim is currently a fourth-year resident physician (PGY-4) in the General Surgery department at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) Medical Center. Her educational journey began at UCLA for her undergraduate studies, followed by the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine for her medical education. During this time, she had the opportunity to participate in research projects focused on understanding the microbiological and immunological aspects of various cancer types. Dr. Sedighim remains committed to continuing her involvement in translational and basic sciences research at UCI. Her career goal is to make a meaningful impact in the field of academic surgical oncology. Additionally, she has a sincere interest in medical and surgical education.
